Hairdressers are urgently needed in Austria as several regions of the country are experiencing shortages and are unable to fill the post.

The migration website of the Austrian government states that Upper Austria, Salzburg, Styria, Tyrol, and Vorarlberg are particularly in need of hairdressers. Only in the regions of Austria where there is a shortage of qualified foreign hairdressers can they find employment after applying for the position and moving there for employment.

Aside from hairdressers, Austrian areas are also in need of insurance agents, economists, social scientists, statisticians, clothes and textile shops, business administrators, and so forth. Generally speaking, vocations are deemed to be in shortage when there are no more than 1.5 registered job searchers for each opening.

All applicants for jobs on the shortage list must be able to show documentation of successful completion of training for the position. Skilled employees from non-EU nations are permitted to work in Austria under the Red-White-Red Card.

Qualification, work experience, linguistic proficiency, and age are all required criteria.

The Red-White-Red Card application can be submitted to the appropriate Austrian authorities from the applicant’s place of residency or from the prospective employer

Valid travel documents, a recent photo, proof of health insurance covering all forms of health-related risks, professional qualifications, a diploma, job experience, and the results of a language proficiency exam are all necessary when applying for the Red-White-Red Card.

Those who receive a Red-White-Red Card are eligible for the jobs and fixed-term accommodations listed in the application. Typically, the Red-White-Red Card is given out for 24 months.
