Manchester United and Malaysia Airlines Form Global PartnershipA multi-year collaboration between Malaysia Airlines and Manchester United has been confirmed, with the award-winning airline becoming the club’s official commercial airline.

Being a well-known as well as reputable brand in the world of aviation, Malaysia Airlines takes great satisfaction in representing Malaysia. While also offering its customers the best-in-class personalised experiences. Thus, reflecting  the friendly and accommodating nature of Malaysian culture.

Malaysia Airlines’ Group Managing Director, Izham Ismail, announced the news at a Kuala Lumpur trade exhibition.

Former Manchester United defenders Patrice Evra and also Wes Brown flew to Kuala Lumpur. They are here in order to celebrate the news and share their experiences as players and club ambassadors throughout the globe.

The two United icons shared about the importance of their new alliance during the ceremony.

“Manchester United has fans from all over the world, and the passionate support we have here in Asia never fails to impress me. I am pleased to be able to share our partnership with Malaysia Airlines with those fans and introduce them to the best-in-class service they offer. Wes and I travelled here on Malaysia Airlines, and I would like to thank them for such a comfortable journey. From the food to the comfortable seats and friendly service, everything was perfect,” said Patrice Evra.

“I am fortunate enough to represent Manchester United at events all over the world. I have visited Malaysia many times, and I am always blown away by the warm welcome I receive. Malaysia Airlines is a true representation of Malaysia’s friendly culture, and I cannot wait to work with them to engage with our fantastic supporters,” said Wes Brown.

Victoria Timpson, CEO of Alliances and Partnerships at Manchester United, also spoke at the event. We have three official Malaysian supporter’s clubs, with the Kuala Lumpur branch boasting one of the club’s largest supporter communities, reflecting the country’s love of all things United.
