Flexibility & Relationship-building Fuel Dell Hybrid Work Policy

Because Dell wants to keep its hybrid work policy in place, all of its workers must work from the company’s main office at least 39 days a quarter, or three days a week.

Employees who make less than an unknown amount can supposedly choose to work from home, but this could mean missing out on career advancements like promotions and pay raises.

At this point, it’s not clear how Dell will improve its hybrid work throughout 2024. However, the tech company says that any decision it makes will be based on an open approach that takes into account both internal and external factors.

Dell told HRM Asia, “In today’s global technology revolution, we believe in-person connections paired with a flexible approach are critical to drive innovation and value differentiation.”

We’ll need to push each other in a healthy way, learn from each other, and stay up to date in order to make quick, smart choices that help customers. All of this depends on relationships. We believe that the best way to build relationships is in person and with a flexible attitude.”

Dell is not the first tech company to change their work-from-home (WFH) rules in significant manner since the pandemic. It’s only two days a week for Amazon, Google, and Apple employees to take time off or work from home.
