According to Higher Education Minister Zambry Abdul Kadir, the first group of students is anticipated to start their bachelor’s degree programs in October.

As reported by Free Malaysia Today, May 10 will mark the opening of Malaysia’s first AI faculty, according to Higher Education Minister Zambry Abdul Kadir.

The symbolic debut at the World Trade Center Kuala Lumpur is scheduled to be presided over by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

In collaboration with other universities, he stated that the AI faculty will have its headquarters at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.

“We want to make it a truly high-quality faculty with experts from other universities joining in to ensure the faculty’s success.”

An AI bachelor’s degree program was approved in January. The first cohort of students is scheduled to start their studies in October.

The AI faculty was created in accordance with the national roadmap on artificial intelligence and with industry specialists to meet industry needs.
