Agriculture entrepreneurs in Selangor receive RM1,000 incentivesThe Selangor government will channel an agricultural incentive of RM1,000 to 500 entrepreneurs for crops, livestock, aquaculture, and basic agricultural and fishing industries.

According to FMT, Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari said this incentive is to help the communities. The objective is to increase the rate of agricultural production.

“This donation will be in cash amounting to RM500, while the remaining RM500 will be given through plant inputs, equipment, and raw materials.

“It will begin to be handed over on 31 October through the cooperation of Agro Bank Selangor and Koperasi Kohijrah Warga Hijrah Selangor Berhad,” he said at a press conference after the exco meeting.

Meanwhile, Amirudin also announced an increase in the monthly allowance for 760 imams. The increase goes from RM1,300 to RM1,500, which will start on 25 October.

The payment also increases the monthly allowance of bilal, nazir, and siak involving 1,900 recipients. This is done under the coordination by Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor.

“Overall, the granting of this incentive is an increase of RM2.964 million and will be allocated annually as an effort by the state government to mobilize Islamic teachings,” he said.

Amirudin said the state government will exempt 426,656 low-cost houses and village houses from the assessment tax. The exemption is for the second term from 1 July to 31 December. This is done to realize the main commitment during the 100 days of the Pakatan Harapan-Barisan Nasional administration,

It involves all local authorities in the state with a financial implication of RM29.415 million.

“This targeted assistance is expected to increase disposable income for those in need and reduce the cost of living.”

Meanwhile, in preparation for the northeast monsoon the Jabatan Pengairan dan Saliran, Jabatan Kerja Raya, and other authorities are involved. They are responsible for immediately cleaning drainage, ditches, drains, and reservoirs.

The urgency is to enable the water drainage system to function optimally, especially in high-risk areas.
