Woman who kissed dough, fired from Nando’s on 1st day of work

A Malaysian woman was dismissed from a Nando’s restaurant in the same city after she kissed a pretzel dough at an Auntie Anne’s restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, forcing it to temporarily close.

Late on October 17, Nando’s Malaysia’s official social media account said that the woman, identified as Alice Chang, had been sacked.

This came when Chang allegedly posted a selfie she took with a coworker online along with numerous other pictures of herself and even the food.

In both Chinese and English, Chang’s post’s caption read, “Today I am working at Nando’s Sunway Putra Mall.”

However, it appears that the Instagram account that posted the content has been removed.

After she took pictures of herself inside the restaurant, someone told Nando’s Malaysia that Chang was actually working there.

According to a statement from Nando’s Malaysia, Chang was working part-time and had just begun her first day of work when she broke procedure by sharing the pictures.

The statement from Nando’s Malaysia said:

On the evening of October 18, Chang shared a screenshot of Nando’s comment on her Instagram story, replying that she had handed the Nando’s boss free PR.

She demanded that she be hired by other employers, promising to provide them with “enough publicity to satisfy” them.

Chang had taken a selfie on October 12 at a Cold Stone Creamery location in Pavilion Mall after being fired from Auntie Anne’s.

In response, the business issued a statement stating that Chang was looking for work and did not work there. The outlet was then cleaned completely.

Chang’s sister questioned this, claiming that she also had actually worked at Cold Stone.

Chang allegedly thereafter got a job at what locals call “SS2 McDonald’s,” a McDonald’s restaurant in KL.

Her tenure there was reportedly brief, though, as she left the company after a few hours.

Chang had often claimed on social media that she had been sexually assaulted. Therefore the circumstances of her brief stay are tainted with controversy.

In response to Chang’s claims, the manager of the McDonald’s restaurant has also filed a police report, according to China Press.
