K-Pop group Momoland salary unpaid due to financial crisisThe successful girl group Momoland’s management company, MLD Entertainment, is presently experiencing severe financial problems, which has resulted in significant wage delays for its staff.

A Star Today investigation published on the 17th by Maeil Business Newspaper revealed that the company has been underpaying its employees, which has led to the resignation of the majority of them. There are now fewer than five workers at the business. Severance money has yet to be given to former workers who quit because their salaries were unpaid. They have only received half compensation, even though they have filed complaints with the Labor Office.

MLD Entertainment, which was established in 2015, sprang to fame with Momoland. This band is well-known for its popular songs, including “Bboom Bboom,” “BAAM,” and “Yummy Yummy Love.” However, on January 27, 2023, Momoland formally dissolved.

Other idol groups that MLD Entertainment has introduced include Horizon, Pillus, and T1419 (later rebranded as TFN). Still, nonethey have yet to be particularly successful. Based in the Philippines, Lee Hyung-jin, the company’s CEO, is presently concentrating on overseeing the Filipino group Horizon. The January 2021-founded TFN started the dissolution process in February of this year.

Gil, the singer, also signed a contract with MLD Entertainment last year to work as an artist and producer, but he hasn’t done anything since. He was recently entangled in a scandal over the May DUI incident involving singer Kim Ho-joong. MLD made it clear that Gil was merely a witness and had no criminal charges against him. In 2022, veteran singer Lee Seung-chul also became a signee of MLD Entertainment.

Concerns regarding MLD Entertainment’s stability and future operations are raised by the firm’s financial difficulties and managerial problems, which underscore the difficulties the company faces.
